A quote takes a rough count and a few facts about the elements.
The estimate form takes reel sizes and sound. For 16mm specifically, the notes field is where the useful detail goes: camera original or print, optical or magnetic track, cores or reels, and anything that smells of vinegar. Institutions get a written assessment before scanning.
The form opens on legacydigital.net, our parent lab. It is the same estimate form the lab uses for every quote, and your details go straight to the people who do the work.

- Whether the sound track is optical or magnetic, if there is one.
- Whether elements are on cores or reels.
- Any file naming or format specification your archive needs.
